4. Enter the name of the SNMP profile in the “Profile Name” dialog box.

5. Enter a description of the SNMP profile in the “Description” field.

6. Select the SNMP V1/V2C option to add this type of SNMP profile.

7. Select the SNMP V3 option to add this type of SNMP profile.

8. Select an authentication protocol from the “Auth Protocol” field.

Select None if you do not want to select an authentication protocol.

■

Select HMAC-SHA if you want to use this authentication protocol for

your network.

■

Select HMAC-MD5 if you want to use this authentication protocol for

your network.

9. Enter a password in the “Auth Password” field.

10. Select a protocol in the “Privacy Protocol” field.

■

Select “None” if you do not want to select an privacy protocol.

■

Select “CBC-DES” if you want to use this protocol to maintain

privacy on your network.
