NOTIFICATIONS The Notifications wizard allows you to keep track of certain events that

occur in ECView Pro and in your network. You can individually or

simultaneously schedule to run different tasks (that is, send traps to other

management stations, send emails, block ports, or run other useful

actions) whenever the defined event-related criteria is met.

SYSLOG ECView Pro supports Syslog, which is a feature used for receiving and

logging all log messages directly from specific managed devices. It shows

the details of each log, such as IP Address, description and data, and the

time of the log.

Similar to the Event Viewer tool, Syslog also has a filtering feature for

users to be able to categorize and search the received events.

ASSET MANAGEMENT The ECView Pro Asset Manager tool serves as a device inventory system.

Like the mapping tool, all the discovered devices are listed in the Asset

Manager panel, but without the topology. Asset Manager also enables

access to more information about devices, such as the forwarding database

and ARP entries.
